Essaouira
One of the most picturesque and traditional coastal towns in Moroccom Essaouiram favoured by hippies during the sixties and now a haven for artists and craftsmen, has retained its natural attraction and ambience. Well known for its cafe society, there are plenty of places around the port to eat, drink, chat and watch the world go by. Essaouira means 'pretty picture' and on many occasions it has been used by prominent film-makers such as Orson Welles and Jimi Hendrix was inspired to write during his stays here.
